Manny has all his gear on, and is safe to go out to the paddock for a few hours, to get some natural exercise before he goes on the hot walker. Amanda might lunge him too. I can't work him today. I have to spend all my time working with Taro. My new Dutch Warmblood Stallion. I arrive at the gate and let go of his halter. He is wearing a sheet and sleezy. He has a large eight horse shelter and automatic waterer. He's in a pasture, so he can graze somewhat, the grass hasn't grown to well. It's a sunny spring morning. He takes off down the fence, getting Shortie and Kanta, who are in the next paddock over, running. Glad picks up a trot after them. I hear a truck coming up the driveway, and spin around to see Amanda pulling in. I sigh. He has had a long ride and won't be to happy to be in a stall, so I'll turn him out in the small paddock. Not a pasture yet. Maybe later this afternoon. It's 9:00 a.m. Amanda smiles at me and walks into the barn. Finally around 10:15a.m. the trailer pulls up and the hauler unloads my horse. He is wearing all the shipping stuff. I take it all off and lead him to the turn out paddock. I open the gate and put him in. He has enough room for a canter. He rolls and springs up, prancing around nickering.
